Keep in mind, most travel insurance plans are simply scam. They promise all kind of coverage and deny every claim when it is time to pay – pretty much all the time. However, in the time of emergencies, you don’t get denied treatment because of the coverage it offers. So, do not have high hopes when buying these plans.

My favorite DFW Household Vendors

Your experience and outcome maybe different than mine but below are the people I like and use for repairs at my home. My approach is always treating the workers with respect, trust and dignity and always add a $20 bill for some cold beer. This gets you more in long term than you negotiating them down by $40.

How do I find a new vendor if my existing ones are non-responsive or busy?

  • Nextdoor – Usually the best place to find someone good because your neighbors are usually brutally honest in their reviews or recommendations. I never pick someone without a real neighbor’s recommendation.
  • Taskrabbit – I have the app on my phone. Pricing, reviews, everything is transparent. Best thing I like is you find someone right away.
