You might be surprised to learn about the incredible strength, size, and deep-rooted bonding of the Bihari, UP (Uttar Pradesh), and Jharkhandi community right here in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex.

I’ve had the honor of being associated with BAANA – Bhojpuri and Awadhi Association of North America for many years now, and let me tell you—it truly feels like an extended family.

Together, we celebrate our rich culture with vibrant festivals like Makar Sankranti, Holi, Diwali, Teej, and Chhath. These events are more than just gatherings—they’re soulful celebrations filled with music, laughter, food, and a deep connection to our roots.

We’re a growing family of 500–600 like-minded families from strong educational and family backgrounds across the Bhojpuri, Magahi, and Maithili regions of Bihar and Eastern UP. And now, our WhatsApp community—a daily space for bonding, ideas, help, and humor—is fast approaching 1,000 members from Bihar, UP, and Jharkhand living across the DFW area.

Whether you’re new to Texas or have been here for years, this is a place where your heart will feel at home.
